KEMET introduced its expanded C4AE Radial Film DC Link Capacitor Series for industrial and alternative energy applications. The C4AE Series now offers new 600 VDC and 105°C ambient temperature ranges as well as smaller case sizes to meet the requirements of modern solar microinverters and inverter-driven LED systems.

“KEMET’s C4AE high capacitance density capacitors are ideally suited for applications that demand high ripple current, extra long life and outstanding quality and reliability capabilities,” said Antonio Sanua, Director of Product Management for AC Film at KEMET. “Solar inverters, AC motor drives, welding machines, LED lighting and other high-growth markets can all benefit from this product enhancement.”

In October this year Kemet will start with shipments on some film capacitors from Mexico originally produced in Landsberg.

The packaging for shipments from MTY Mexico will slightly change with respect to the one in place in Landsberg. This to improve the robustness of the packaging itself.
